Leading non-banking financial services provider Liaison Group has today unveiled a revolutionary self-service e- portal that allows customers to choose their preferred insurer when in need of insurance services. The portal therefore gives customers the freedom to compare options with different insurance companies and in turn make more informed decisions on how much they want to spend. “Our aim is to give our customers unlimited access to their policy information whenever they need it,” Said Tom Mulwa, Group Managing Director of Liaison Group. “With the portal, customers will be able to choose which product suits them, at a convenient price. It also offers us a great opportunity to provide a more meaningful experience for our clients as well as enable us to engage them through a number of key client-broker touch points.”   Through the portal, customers will be able to choose products ranging from Auto Insurance, Personal Accident, Last Respect, Household and Business Insurance. As a result, they will have an opportunity utilize the functionalities of a single platform to gain visibility across an entire spectrum of business, delivering integrated capabilities to manage policy information through a single click of a button. The process of purchase takes a maximum of 3 minutes on average and the customer will have all the details he/she requires. The unveiling of the platform marks the beginning of an exciting journey that puts the customer at the centre of Liaison Group’s operations as promised during the rebrand last year. It also serves as a stepping stone for future innovations that seeks to empower the discerning customer.  

It was all about sports last week as Liaison Group set camp at the prestigious Karen Country Club for the Club Nite and The Mug Golf tournaments. A large field of more than 300 players took to the course for both tournaments with Liaison Group ably represented by Mr. Tom Mulwa and Mr. Mike Chege. As a brand, events like this give us an excellent platform to be able to interact with not just the golfers, but our esteemed customers and club members. Speaking during the prize-giving ceremony, The Group Managing Director Mr. Tom Mulwa, said that Liaison Group has always been proud to sponsor golf tournaments at the Karen Country Club. "As the Liaison Group family, we feel proud as we continuously continue to come to facilitate games here at the Karen Country Club. The tournaments played has given all the golfers an opportunity to develop their golfing skills as well as provide a platform for the participants to display their prowess on the course" Mr. Mulwa added. The Club Nite tournament saw Grace Gichuki take the overall winner's position playing off handicap 8 she shot 39 points. The Mug Golf Tournament saw Gakuo Macharia playing off handicap 10 emerging as the gross winner with 78 gross points. There was excitement among Liaison Group staff and guests alike as they arrived at the Serena Hotel on Wednesday 21st August 2019 to be part of  Healthcare providers’ engagement forum, the first of its kind in the country. The main objective of the engagement is to promote a better relationship between Liaison Group and Healthcare providers in the  industry. The engagement was timely as various stakeholders in the industry are working towards providing quality and value – based healthcare to our clients across the country. Speaking during the forum, the Group Managing Director Mr. Tom Mulwa was keen to express his gratitude to all providers for the support they have accorded Liaison Group throughout the years to see to it that we offer the best healthcare services. Additionally, Liaison Healthcare Group Head Julius Kitheka reiterated the need for innovation in the industry to ensure that we improve on the patient turnaround time during treatment which has been a big challenge. “To tackle this problem, we have come up with our ICT driven system, the LCT. The system is able to capture real-time data, fast-track patient management history, relay claims online which will immensely reduce reconciliation challenges to our providers”, Mr. Kitheka noted. The providers also got a chance to interact with Liaison Group through a panel discussion which was an opportunity to understand and clarify on some of the issues raised. At the same time, it allowed us to learn from the healthcare providers on areas we need to improve on in terms of service delivery. We hope to conduct more of these engagements on a quarterly basis, not only in the healthcare department but with all our clients and stakeholders from the four business units.
